Hey, I, uh, I just got some great news! I thought you might want to here it first.

So far it looks like stopping really was the best thing we could do. Spirits are up, and people are marching just a little bit faster now that they're rested. It might not last past the first big snow storm, but, uh, yeah. I'm confident we're doing better now.

I, uh, started going over all our supply lists now that we're on the road, and so far it looks like we didn't leave anything behind. I checked before we left, but it's always good to check these things twice...

He's going to call on my in a few minutes. It's either go out and get what I need now, or... well, uh, never. He'll be better prepared if I'm late, but at least he doesn't know what I'm going to do. I didn't set this up as well as i would've liked, but there's nothing I can do about that. he's got all the advantages, and the only way I'm even getting this close is a lucky break.

If you read this before it happens, just be prepared for something bad to come over the wall... Yesterday the rioters attacked the castle when Tyren was putting bodies onto hooks nailed to poles, and ... well, it didn't work. Now he's collected everyone he captured yesterday, and he's going to use those poles again. The men and women he's got now ... ugh, I don't even want to look at them. I think he's had them whipped for the whole day and night... They look like giant open wounds right now, and he's going to hook them up. He's going to hang them naked, bleeding, and dying off the wall.

If you can believe it, there's going to be a worse sight prepared for the rioters today.

We have a problem right now, and it's pretty big. They still can't fix the walls, but I think they've made sure getting to those walls... Well, it's going to be a lot harder now. And the ships in the harbor are only going to make it worse.

They're not really trusting me with anything, but I think they're done interrogating me for now. He looked convinced when we were finished. Uh, yeah. Maybe they're not as bad as they could be, but you ... well, you didn't look before you leapt. Only the Dragons know how you're going to keep this place once Keane gets here. It just...

It sounds too much like he has a plan.

I really worried about this, even if I shouldn't be. Keane has three armies now, and Noye won't hold up long against that. Even if he can save the walls. I just wish I could get his plan out of him!

They finally gave me my journal back, and we've got a problem. Relette's been wounded, but she's still alive. I haven't seen her injury, but she says it's bad.... She has her journal back too. You need to talk to her. You need to tell her to fight. She isn't going to fight back, Keane! You need to tell her to!

We've held them off as long as we can. I'm out of oil pots, and I'm cut off from land right now. I'm just going to write until I can get a good path back to the city. I've been throwing fire down on their ships all day, but they've soaked their sails and their ships. Nothing's catching fire for long except people, and we're taking too many arrows every pass...

We haven't even touched the warships they've got. Four real live warships, and full crews of archers on each of them. We burned three merchant ships that were loaded up with people on the first day, and one yesterday, but there's still so many! And most of the wing I went out with is dead now, and I'm flying alone. My dragon's wounded... He'll last until I can get back at least. I don't think he wants to drown.

Fuck. Fuck. I just looked over at what's been coming on land. They weren't nearly that close this morning. They're almost to the wall, the ones coming by land. And the ships are going to land soon too. Fuck!
